Katrin McCullough was educated at the University of Nuertingen, Germany and holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning (2007).

Career
Katrin McCullough commenced her professional career in 2005, working as a student landscape architect for a landscaping business in Germany where she gained valuable experience in the landscape construction industry. After completing her studies, Katrin has been employed in the landscape architecture practices in the Wollongong area since early 2007.

Prior to joining the Siteplus team, Katrin has gained extensive experience in deisgn and documentation of a wide range of projects ranging from small scale to intimate gardens to large public spaces, master planning and urban design. She has worked on projects including aged care and educational facilities, streetscape, foreshore, hotel and residetial projects.
 
Katrin's responsibilities included:

• preparation of base plans and site analysis plans
• preparation of sketch, concept and detailed documentation drawings
• preparation of cost estimates
• co-ordination with poject teams including architects, engineers, clients, project managers and councils

As a landscape architect employed by siteplus, Katrin has worked on projects including educational facilities, public open spaces and residential developments.

Katrin has recently worked on the master planning for '7 fest', a concept for a short film festival along the foreshore at Woody Point, Queensland. Responsibilities included:

• site analysis and collection of base information
• assessment of existing public spaces and infrastructure
• preparation of a general arrangement plan
• preparation of a transport feasibility plan
• graphic presentation design

 

Katrin worked on the detailed planning for 4.5km of foreshore for Shellharbour City Council. Her tasks included:

• site analysis and assessment
• preparation of concept and detailed plans
• preparation of cost estimates
• investigation of materials and products
• liaison with client

Katrin has recently designed the entry area for a school in the Wollongong region. Responsibilities included:

• preparation of sketch plans
• preparation of a cost estimate and detailed documentation drawings
• liaison with the client
• preparation and dissemination of tender documents
• co-ordination with potential contractors

Katrin is developing her project management skills through managing small landscape projects.

Katrin is highly skilled in the use of CAD programs such as AutoCAD and Vector Works. She is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and the Adobe Creative Suite. Katrin has a strong visual and artistic background which transfers to her drawings and presentations.
